James Tian: Facing Midnight (Poem)

There’s a moon,

Hanging on the window.

There’s also a moon,

Dreaming in my soul.

The one which’s hanging,

Coming into my body;

But can't squeeze out the light,

From my heart with relief.

Light of a few stars,

Can also illuminate the face;

The moonlight in my heart,

Cannot cover my dreams.

In the darkness,

The moon is still in the sky,

And scenery in my heart,

There’s no wind but a verse.

Perhaps only tonight,

It’s exactly the same as comfort.
