On March 21, 2025, at the Gallery of the Cultural Center in Paraćin, the solo exhibition Transcendent Words by Alexander Stanković was officially opened. Stanković presented a fusion of Arabic and Serbian calligraphy, shaping words that transcend linguistic and cultural boundaries.
The exhibition was opened by His Excellency Muhammad Al-Namura, Ambassador of Palestine, whose presence further emphasized the importance of cultural exchange and the spiritual values conveyed through this exhibition.

Regarding Stanković and his calligraphy art, Professor Siniša Reberski, a full professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, wrote:
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to see the works of Alexander Stanković for the first time. Honestly, at first, they didn’t seem particularly interesting to me; many visual artists sometimes experiment with calligraphy. But from that first post I saw, Alexander continued to publish his works, which kept improving in quality and interest. It became clear that this was something much deeper than mere experimentation or play.
I realized he was a dedicated and passionate creator, driven to constantly create and improve. Initially, I did not know he was an 'amateur' without formal calligraphy education, because even his early works matched the quality of my students at the Academy of Fine Arts, where Calligraphy is a regular subject. Once I realized that, I followed his work even more attentively.
Those early, somewhat tentative and clumsy experiments gradually evolved in quality, expressiveness, and skill. He demonstrated excellent control of the pen or brush, the ability to turn a blot into a valuable visual element, and to transform letter designs into rhythmic play.
I observed that he was equally skilled with various historical forms of Latin and Cyrillic scripts and that he was constantly exploring color and composition, improving each time.
Then came another surprise — Arabic calligraphy! A complete revelation! That’s when I realized we were dealing with a truly remarkable artist — a rare specimen, so to speak.
Someone who expresses himself with exceptional visual quality in Latin, Cyrillic, and Arabic scripts!
In calligraphy, painting is inseparable from the verbal; one could say that words are transformed into images. In Stanković’s works, I enjoy both reading and viewing, much as he probably enjoys creating — a thought or text inspires him to compose and capture that thought in time and space.
This is the basic concept of all visual arts: through their work, artists strive to materialize an idea, to make it visible, spatially experienceable, and preserved for future 'viewing.'
His latest works confirm that Alexander’s passion for calligraphy is continually deepening, and his artistic level is steadily rising. I look forward with great interest to Alexander Stanković’s new calligraphy works.
About thirty calligraphy works from Alexander Stanković’s artistic opus were displayed to the public and visitors.
