Call for Artists to Participate in the Exhibition “Solidarity with the Palestinian People - A Brush for a Cause”
Marak – Maaref Qudsiya for Heritage and Culture, Ministry of Culture, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan invite all artists from around the world to participate in the exhibition titled “Solidarity with the Palestinian People - A Brush for a Cause”.
This exhibition is dedicated to expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine through powerful visual art. Join us in using creativity to convey resilience, hope, and the pursuit of justice.
Exhibition Details:
The exhibition will be organized at the Royal Cultural Center, Amman, Jordan. The exhibition will take place on November 26, 2024.
Eligibility:
This call is open to artists across disciplines, including painting, digital art, photography, mixed media, and more. Artists who wish to explore themes of freedom, resistance, heritage, and identity are encouraged to apply.

Submission Deadline
The deadline for submitting artworks is November 20. After this date, works will not be considered.
One of the coordinators of the competition is the renowned Jordanian artist Omar Bdoor.
Omar Bdoor
Omar Ahmed Aref Al-Bdoor, known as Omar Bdoor, was born in 1963 in Amman, the capital of Jordan. He graduated from the Department of Literary Sciences and holds diplomas in Graphic Design and Arabic Calligraphy. He is a member of the Jordanian Association of Plastic Artists and an administrative member of the Mobile Studio Association. Over his 30 years of work, he has been involved in design and journalistic editing. His first exhibition was in 1982, titled “The Sabra and Shatila Massacre.”
He worked as a freelance artist, opened a commercial office for calligraphy and painting, and was engaged with various newspapers and organizations, including the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces.
He specialized in single-stroke drawing and has had several exhibitions in the UAE and Jordan, as well as international exhibitions in Qatar, Kuwait, and Turkey. He is also the founder and general coordinator of the international exhibition “Palestine: A Story and Color,” which has toured multiple countries.
