“Writings by Egyptian Diplomats” in the “Guest of Honor” Hall at the Cairo International Book Fair
At the beginning of the symposium, Ambassador Amr Aljowaily saluted Dr. Ahmed Bahi Aldin, Chairman of the Egyptian General Book Authority, for the keenness of the permanent exhibition management to host Egyptian diplomats, especially since the book is the main introduction to culture in general and that the Cairo International Book Fair is a source of pride for Egyptian diplomats.
In his speech, Dr. Ahmed Bahi Aldin said that it was necessary for Egyptian diplomats to participate in the exhibition, especially since there are many of them who have many creative talents, including writing, and the management of the exhibition was keen for Egyptian diplomacy to have a presence in cultural activity, pointing out He is happy with the presence of this honorable number of Egypt’s creative ambassadors.
Aljowaily, who has published more than one book, said that the ambassador represents his country the most, but he is the person who resides there the least. Therefore, it results in more creativity and thought. If this diplomat decides to write, he writes with an intense love for writing.
Aljowaily added, during his introduction to Ambassador Redha Al-Taifi, that the experience of publishing ambassadorial books was preceded by the idea of publishing “The Diplomat” magazine, which is issued by the Diplomatic Club, explaining that the magazine serves as a view of the public scene and the participation of diplomats’ works in the magazine, including stories, poetry, translation, and articles, as it was It is a haven for diplomats, especially young people, to showcase their creativity.
